Throw the Most Amazing Super Bowl Party with These Tips

Hello Football Fans!!!! It’s almost the biggest day of the year!  You know what day that is, right? That’s right. It’s time for the Superbowl. It’s also time for a fabulous Superbowl party!

Are you hosting a Superbowl party this year?  Even if you are a veteran party planning, you can still throw the most amazing Super Bowl Party with these tips! It doesn’t matter if you are a superfan of either of the teams, or just a casual football fan, your party can be amazing.

Throw the Most Amazing Super Bowl Party with These Tips

Make Sure You Can Stream the Game

So many of us have cut the cord over the last couple of years to save money, which means no cable or satellite to play the game. If you use a streaming service, make sure that you are going to be able to stream the game in advance. Your guests won’t want to go to a Superbowl party without being able to watch the Superbowl.

Have a Separate Space for the Kids

If you will be having small children at your Superbowl party, I recommend having a separate space for them. This way they won’t be running around and being noisy while the grown ups are trying to watch the game.  I recommend having lots of fun toys for them as well as a television for playing children’s shows.

Serve the Best Food

If you want to throw an epic Super Bowl Party that everybody will be talking about for months, then you need to serve delicious food!  Don’t show up at your party with cheap pizza or party subs, those are blah foods that people won’t remember the next day.

If you want to really make your party stand out, here are some amazing menu items that will keep your guests talking.

Wings

Wings are the ultimate party food, right?  You can make multiple wing recipes and treat your guests to a selection. You can make the wings in your slow cooker, which means that you won’t have to spend hours on them.  Wings, however, are very messy, so as the party host you will have quite the mess to clean up.

Nachos

Oh my goodness, nachos are just one of my favorite foods to make for parties!  They are just so delicious! I like to layer up my chips, beans, meat and cheese on this SuperStone Sicilian Pizza Maker and pop them in the oven for a while. Once I pull them out of the oven, I top the nachos with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, olives, salsa and sour cream. Yum!

Pizza

Do not even think about picking up the phone for pizza. When we are talking about amazing party foods, homemade pizza is what you need to serve. Here are some of my favorite recipes that I like to use when I am making pizza at home.

pizza dough. Sure, you can use a store bought pizza crust, but if you are really wanting to go all about, you should make your own!  This pizza dough is an easy and yummy recipe.
pizza sauce. Every grocery store has jars and jars of pizza sauce available to buy, but I prefer homemade pizza sauce and this is a great recipe.
traditional chicago-style deep dish pizza. If you love a good Chicago style pizza (let’s be honest...who doesn’t?), you are going to absolutely love this recipe!
sweet-&-spicy pulled pork bbq pizza - I like to mix up my pizza recipes sometimes and this is a great way to do just that!
vegan cauliflower pizza with basil pesto - If you have dietary restrictions, this is a great pizza choice for you!

Don’t Run Out of Drinks

Every good party requires delicious drinks!  Regardless of what type of drinks you are planning to serve, just make sure that your fridge is stocked with what you plan on serving. Additionally, a great party tip is to offer disposable cups that your guests can write their names on. This will not only save you from doing excess dishes, but it can also help people keep track of their own drinks.

Side note: If you plan to offer alcoholic drinks at your party, make sure you have a designated driver set up so your party can end well too!

Do you have any awesome Superbowl party tips to offer?

Pizza Recipes For the Healthy New You!

Oh my goodness, friends-- it is time to celebrate! It’s a new year and for many of us, that means it’s time for a new, healthy us! I don’t know about you, but my eating has taken a seriously negative downturn lately. This girl needs to get back to healthy eating. My issue though? I LOVE PIZZA. That is one of the things I struggle with when it came to cutting out unhealthy foods. Luckily though, I don’t have to do that because lots of pizza is actually good for you! When Was Pizza Invented? Many people don’t know it, but pizza has been around for centuries, with the first documentation of the word pizza being in the year 997 in Gaeta. Although, we can be fairly certain that before pizza made its introduction, ancient Italians prepared focaccia bread with added toppings for a tasty meal. If you want to make your own version of the original pizza, start out with this fabulous focaccia bread recipe . Pizza really became known worldwide though in World War II whe...

Valentine's Day Activities for the Family

What are your thoughts on Valentine’s Day?  While I do love going on dates with my husband, I actually don’t look at Valentine’s Day as a day for him and I. I don’t mean to be a big bummer, but I tend to view this holiday as a bit of a commercialized day. I like to date my husband throughout the year and I tell him I love him multiple times each and every day. That’s why I choose to make Valentine’s Day a day for the family. We love spending time together and while, like my husband, I tell them every day that I love them, but I do like the idea of an entire day that celebrates our family’s love for one another.  While I do love spending time with the whole family on Valentine’s Day, I do not like taking the family out to dinner on February 14th. Truth be told, I don’t really even like going out to eat with my husband on that day: restaurants are far too busy on Valentine’s Day to make a dinner out with kids much fun at all. Your wait will likely be incredibly...
