Best Food Tips for Planning a Successful SuperBowl Party

Are you a football fan?  If you said yes, you probably already know that the SuperBowl is just weeks away.  Okay, truth be told, we don’t watch too much football in our house. We do watch our local university games online, and we ALWAYS watch the SuperBowl.  The SuperBowl is just too much fun. We love the excitement of the game and we love the awesome commercials that play along with the game. When the SuperBowl comes around, for us that means we have our favorite people over to our home and we enjoy a SuperBowl party.  Our SuperBowl Parties are always a hit, even if we are only occasional football fans. Are you wanting to plan a great SuperBowl party this year? Let me tell you a secret. It’s all about the food. Want to know the best food tips for planning a successful SuperBowl party?

The key to planning a successful SuperBowl party is all about the food. SuperBowl parties
require food that is easy to eat. Handheld food is the best party food. Don’t you agree?

That’s why whenever it comes to SuperBowl parties, I am all about serving pizza to my guests.
I like to create some delicious homemade pizzas and let people pick and choose which pizzas
they want to try. I also always have people with food restrictions at my parties so I like to make
sure that they are provided for. For instance, I have a couple of friends who follow a keto diet,
and I, myself, am gluten-free so I like to make sure to keep those in mind when I am
making pizzas.

There are very few pizza takeout restaurants that I think are worth the money, so I would way
rather spend the money and time and make delicious homemade pizzas for my guests.

When it comes to the pizza crust, as mentioned, I like to create different types to go with
different diets. Here are some of my favorites:

almond flour pizza crust (low carb and gluten-free) - whether you are gluten-free, keto, or just
low carb, this almond flour pizza crust is perfect!
deep dish crust - If you like a deep dish crust pizza, you don’t need to order takeout. This
homemade one is delicious!
traditional crust- To make things easy, you can make a delicious, yet traditional pizza crust
recipe. Honestly, I do this for all of the pizzas I cook except for the gluten-free ones.
thin crust pizza - If think and crunchy pizza crust is your fave, check out this recipe.

When it comes down to what kind of pizza you are going to prep, here are the ones that are always a hit at my parties.

margherita pizza - I love the fresh from the garden taste that comes with a Margherita Pizza.  It’s so so good!
basic pizza - I love a good basic pizza recipe.  This works well because you can put any toppings you want on it.
hawaiian - I know that some people hate pineapple on their pizza, but it is my favorite.  I love it!
supreme pizza - Do you love just about everything on your pizza?  Then a supreme pizza is what you need!

Pizza Recipes For the Healthy New You!

Oh my goodness, friends-- it is time to celebrate! It’s a new year and for many of us, that means it’s time for a new, healthy us! I don’t know about you, but my eating has taken a seriously negative downturn lately. This girl needs to get back to healthy eating. My issue though? I LOVE PIZZA. That is one of the things I struggle with when it came to cutting out unhealthy foods. Luckily though, I don’t have to do that because lots of pizza is actually good for you! When Was Pizza Invented? Many people don’t know it, but pizza has been around for centuries, with the first documentation of the word pizza being in the year 997 in Gaeta. Although, we can be fairly certain that before pizza made its introduction, ancient Italians prepared focaccia bread with added toppings for a tasty meal. If you want to make your own version of the original pizza, start out with this fabulous focaccia bread recipe . Pizza really became known worldwide though in World War II whe...

Valentine's Day Activities for the Family

What are your thoughts on Valentine’s Day?  While I do love going on dates with my husband, I actually don’t look at Valentine’s Day as a day for him and I. I don’t mean to be a big bummer, but I tend to view this holiday as a bit of a commercialized day. I like to date my husband throughout the year and I tell him I love him multiple times each and every day. That’s why I choose to make Valentine’s Day a day for the family. We love spending time together and while, like my husband, I tell them every day that I love them, but I do like the idea of an entire day that celebrates our family’s love for one another.  While I do love spending time with the whole family on Valentine’s Day, I do not like taking the family out to dinner on February 14th. Truth be told, I don’t really even like going out to eat with my husband on that day: restaurants are far too busy on Valentine’s Day to make a dinner out with kids much fun at all. Your wait will likely be incredibly...
