Top Tips to Make Party Cleanup a Breeze

Don’t you just love holiday parties?  The festive music, the happy people, the gifts, the food, oh my goodness, I could just go on and on. I don’t know about you, but I rarely give myself time to unwind and relax and to be able to do that while visiting family and friends is always so nice.  I really enjoy being a host to these parties too. There is just something so nice about welcoming others into my home and providing the atmosphere for holiday fun! It’s one of my favorite things about the holidays.

There is one thing that I don’t love about holiday parties though.  The cleanup. I know I am not alone in this. Cleanup can be the pits!  It doesn’t have to be though.

Are you in the midst of holiday party planning?  If you want to make your holiday parties extra awesome, take a little bit of time to read up on these Top Tips to Make Party Cleanup a Breeze. Cleanup may not be the most fun you’ve ever had, but it has to be done, so just get over the desire to not do it at all and dig in!  It’s not really that hard and trust me, you will enjoy the party that much more when you know your work won’t be so hard when everybody goes home.   These tips are going to help you clean and have fun!

Top Tips to Make Party Cleanup a Breeze

Time to Clean House!  Before the party that is.

I know this goes without saying, but you have invited people over to your house.  It’s time to clean up! I mean it’s time to clean the entire house. You don’t want people walking into a messy house, right?  That’s why you need to get out that cleaning bucket and rags and get to work. Yes, this may not really be an “easy” cleanup tip, but it needs to be done and it will make party cleanup so much easier!

Clean out your fridge now!

Don’t wait to do this until after the party.  Going into the party with a bright, clean refrigerator makes it so much easier to just wipe down after the party.  You’ll be surprised at how much this little thing will help.

Buy extra trash cans

Head to the dollar section of your local big box store or to your dollar store and grab some small trash cans and put one in every room of your home that you expect to have party-goers in.  Trust me, they will end up with trash and it’s nice if they can put it in the can instead of on your furniture or floor. Yes, it happens.

Make sure your dishwasher is emptied.

Do not go into a party with a full dishwasher.  This way, if you are using dishes, they can be put in the dishwasher right away instead of stacking up in the sink or on the counter. Trust me, you don’t want to walk into a kitchen filled with dishes. But hitting start on your dishwasher doesn’t sound too bad.

Use disposable Napkins and Table Covers

Sassafras has some really great disposable table covers and napkins to use for your party!  Do you know how nice it is to just grab the table cover and toss it out? Very, very nice.

These are my favorites:

Clean up messes when they happen

Don’t let messes sit on your tables and carpets for long. I know that cleaning while everyone else is having fun sounds awful, but you don’t have to do a big cleanup. Just spot clean as you go.  It will make it much easier.

original pizza, start out with this fabulous focaccia bread recipe. Pizza really became known worldwide though in World War II when allied troops exp…

Our Favorite Thanksgiving Pies

Written by Candi Carey
Thanksgiving is upon us. You know what that means. Yeah, thankfulness, family, gathering and all of that, of course.

You know what I was really thinking though… that’s right.

Pie. Delicious, comforting, down-home, sometimes sweet, occasionally spicy, deliciously warm pies. All. The. Pies.
Do you make homemade pies for the holidays? I do. Look, Thanksgiving is literally the only time of year that we even eat pie, so I am not about to waste that on some frozen pie.
I mean, no offense to the frozen pie makers out there...
There are some really great frozen pies these days. I just prefer to have my pie experience to be the real deal.

That means the right ingredients and the right tools for making them. The ingredients vary from person to person, but the tools are always the same. You need a good set of quality pie tools for the best pie experience.

In my experience, that means a great quality pie pan and for me, that is the Superstone® Deep Dish Pizza/Pie Baker with Sili…
